J Geils Band Sunset Strip Party
at the Classic Cat Strip Club

We threw a massive party for the J Geils Band following their headlining stint at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.  The party was at the Classic Cat strip club on the Sunset Strip, just across the street from Tower Records (Historic Note:  The Classic Cat closed soon thereafter and became the Tower Records Classical Annex). The party included edible panties worn by the club's female staff, movie star Faye Dunaway (at that time married to the band's lead singer, Peter Wolf), fake police officers and cars, lots of groupies and liberal doses of food and drink.
