Much time has passed since our lives intertwined in the 1970's music business scene. A few of our group is still involved in the industry. But most have moved on in some way or another and have made their marks...and formed great memories...from specific changes in their lives and careers over the past 35+ years.
How many of these faces do YOU remember? Are there some key, pivotal record industry figures from the 70's who are missing from this visual tabulation? Let me know and I will add them (providing we can find a photo) as soon as possible.
Note: My "world" within the 70's music industry was comprised of recording artists (generally not a part of this website), my peers in public relations, artist relations and marketing at the various companies at which I toiled (Blue Thumb Records, Atlantic Records, Motown Records, ABC Records, Levinson Public Relations..and others), the press and media and my many associates at sister record labels and organizations nationwide. Two audience segments that I am just now starting to populate on this site (currently) are DJs and promotion men/women. But it is much more than that. I've now added areas on the site devoted to our favorite restaurants, record stores, record labels and publications from the 70s (cheatingly also including some in the late 1960s and early 1980s). And even though the original focus of this site was to be SoCal, I've also opened it up a bit to include more overall West Coast people (and even a few East Coast). So as I add more names and memories to the site, more come to mind and they are promptly added. You all can play a big part in the expansion of this website, as you think of other people (non-artists) from "the era" (1970s, West Coast) that I've missed adding so far.
Plus, of course, we have a section ("Rest in Peace") devoted to those in the industry who have passed away. As we receive updated information, it will be added. Here's a quick link.
This is a work-in-progress. We will, as time permits, add additional people and content to these archives. For instance, the next phase (late 2017) will allow you to click on one of the photos in this section ("Do You Remember These People?") and you will then get information about the specific person. This will include not only what they did in the music industry but, maybe equally important, what their respective lives/careers were like after they left "the industry." (For a sample of what this will look like, go to my photo and click or tap it.) If you have information on any of these people....or on yourself...that you would like to add, please contact me at: pete@thesenoffgroup.com. Thank you.

NOTE FOR VIEWING: If you click on an individual photo below, the name/type will disappear and you will be able to see the entire face. And in some cases, the resulting photo will be slightly larger. Some of these photos are small chucks of larger photos and hence the resolution is very grainy and low. As we get access to better quality photos, we will make substitutions.
